Our client, a leader in advanced engineering solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in aerospace applications. This role is fully remote, enabling top-tier engineering talent to contribute to groundbreaking projects from anywhere in the world. Lead the mechanical design of complex aerospace components and systems from concept through to production. Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling, drafting, and analysis. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate designs and optimize performance under extreme conditions. Develop detailed technical specifications, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, systems engineers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure integrated design solutions. Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Identify and resolve design challenges and manufacturing issues throughout the product lifecycle. Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in aerospace mechanical design. Ensure designs meet stringent safety, reliability, and performance requirements. Contribute to the development of innovative design concepts and intellectual property. Manage project timelines and deliverables related to mechanical design tasks. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant design experience in the aerospace sector. Proficiency in advanced CAD and simulation software is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with remote teams and contribute to high-stakes projects.
