Process Development Engineer - Specialty Chemicals

Job Description

This hybrid role focuses on the innovation and optimization of chemical manufacturing processes. You will be instrumental in scaling up new chemical products from laboratory research to pilot and commercial production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in process development.
• Solid understanding of reaction kinetics, separation processes, and control.
• Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Familiarity with analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Designing and executing experiments.
• Analyzing process data and developing process flow diagrams.
• Troubleshooting production issues.
• Scaling up new products from lab to commercial production.
• Collaborating with R&D and plant engineering teams.
• Implementing statistical process control (SPC).
