Job Description

Our client is a cutting-edge technology firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This critical role will involve leading the design, development, and integration of complex electrical systems for our innovative products. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire electrical system lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering principles, circuit design, power systems, and embedded systems, with a proven track record of leading projects and mentoring engineers in a remote setting.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical system design and development, with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence) and simulation software is essential.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and analog/digital circuit design.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are crucial for effective remote collaboration.
• Experience with embedded systems and firmware development is a significant plus.
• The ability to lead technical discussions and make critical design decisions independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout oversight, and component selection.
• Define system architecture and specifications for new electrical products and sub-systems.
• Oversee the integration of electrical components and systems with mechanical and software elements.
• Conduct detailed analysis and simulations of electrical circuits and systems, including power integrity and signal integrity.
• Develop and implement test plans for validation and verification of electrical designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues encountered during development and production phases.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, software, and mechanical engineers, in a remote environment.
• Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers, providing technical direction and fostering best practices.
• Stay current with emerging electrical engineering technologies, trends, and industry standards.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables for electrical system development, ensuring on-time completion.
