A high school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers’ license
Telecommunicator I & II certifications
HAZMAT Awareness certification

Receive reports of emergencies via radio, phone, or fire station walk-in
Dispatch Fire Department crew(s) to the scene of emergencies
Operate the Fire Dispatch Center
Relay communications between on-scene responders and support personnel
