The Airfield Weather Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting weather conditions to ensure the safety and efficiency of airfield operations. This role involves utilizing meteorological instruments and data to provide accurate weather forecasts and updates to air traffic controllers, pilots, and airport management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meteorology, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include monitoring weather conditions using radar and satellite data, providing ground to pilot updates via VHF-UHF radio communication, preparing hazardous weather warnings, and conducting METAR observations in accordance with World Meteorological Organizations standards. The position is a salaried role with a 72-hour work schedule in Iraq.
