The Radiology Technician uses specialized X-ray equipment to create images of the body for doctors to diagnose and treat patients. The position is on a Locum rotation, 30 days active and 120 days inactive.

Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or home country equivalent
Certified Ultrasound Technician or home country equivalent preferred
Current experience in direct patient care and must have worked a minimum of 6-months of the last 12-months in career field
Fluency in both oral and written English
Must be able to relocate to Balad, Iraq
A valid passport from country of record is required

Prepares patients, operates equipment and evaluates X-ray images
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Adjusts immobilization devices and modifies equipment controls to set exposure factors
Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques
Adjusts and maintains imaging equipment and ensures it is working properly
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events
Evaluates previous studies for comparison
Develops digital images, creates, updates and maintains patient data files
